I have to feel the surly weight
of what the fate of millions bore,
and humbly knock on heaven's gate,
as if I'd never been before.
I'm walking every ocean's hide
with waves of weeping souls galore,
and every day I drown in pride,
before my heart is washed ashore.
It is the fallen angels' way
to open every living door,
and I will enter 'til the day,
when earth may mend, what heaven tore.
of what the fate of millions bore,
and humbly knock on heaven's gate,
as if I'd never been before.
I'm walking every ocean's hide
with waves of weeping souls galore,
and every day I drown in pride,
before my heart is washed ashore.
It is the fallen angels' way
to open every living door,
and I will enter 'til the day,
when earth may mend, what heaven tore.
