Longings
Like searching innocent and tiny childrens hands
The small and soft waves of the tender splashing surf
Roll on and rummage softly in the whirling sands
While summer winds are playing in the wavy turf.
Far out there in the glistening of shining blue
When skies and earthly waters quietly embrace
May be the place where some day all my dreams come true,
And once my soul for ever peacefully will stay.
A tear of longing gets absorbed into a thought
A screaming seagull captures it when passing by
And seems to carry it into a gaping nought
That swallows mercilessly my despairing cry.
