Oh holy Weihnachtszeit,
please come - we are bereit,
the shops are dekoriert
with lights and tanns verziert.

We’re walking durch the streets
mit nassen, kalten feets,
the Taschen full of gifts
entquellen wir den lifts

der Shopping-Center-Meile.
No Mensch has Langeweile.
We hör’n the Christmas-songs
and zähl’n the Kassenbons.

And all of the Verwandten
including eldest Tanten
versammeln ev’ry year
in our house sich hier.

Weil niemand sonst was found,
wo sie could sit around.
We braten in the Küch’
und understand uns nich’,

dass we do ev’ry year
the quite same Zelebrier.
But it’s halt always nice.
For dessert have we Eis

in Tannenzapfenform
cause of the Weihnachtsnorm.
We sitzen many hours
- a Christmas-Fest, that dauers.

Some laugh, obwohl it’s boring,
one Tant’ is schon am snoring,
the Weihnachtsbaum shines bright,
a fine Gelegenheit,

zur watch, im Dunkeln hidden
zu schau’n, was sonst forbidden,
consoling gibt sie dann,
it goes an zwölfe ran.

But darauf ev’ryone
fängt plötzlich’s talking an
from his bad letzter Grippe
and from the Weihnachtskrippe.

Bis unfortunat’lerweise
falls heimlich, still und leise
vom Max the cigar-Kippe
ins Christmas -Tree-Gerippe.

Oh holy Weihnachtszeit,
so weit can shine your light,
now all lösch fix with water,
the Baum gets a bad Kater.

And after this big Schreck
will all the people weg.
The house is quickly leer,
Na dann: We’ll meet next year…”
